Defi News

I was chatting with James and Christophe last night on skype, apparently there is no wind, or at least not enough to get them racing. But there are plenty of people, and a heap on interest in the Carbon Art stand, and James is very happy to have Paul and Vincent there who speak the language!

Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike et all

Yes - the wind is playing with our nerves, each time picking up slightly to around 8 to 10 knots but within 15 minutes dropping again to 4 to 5 knots...

Anyway, plenty of time to answer questions about the boards and exchange experience. Not surprisingly the SL80 is the most tested board in the range so far

Tonight big party on the beach!

Cheers from Gruissan,

Christophe

Hi boys, here is Corrado speaking with my brand new CA55!

We had a very amazing week in gruissan with the NZ crew + the flyng belge!

first run yesterday in 16-18 nt and MS TR-3 5.9 (not enought!), C3 32
the board starts and goes realy fast in very light condition too!

Maybe more feelings tomorrow ...

PS: excuse me for my english.

Hi Corrado,

Good to hear you like the SL55. It is a great mid to high wind slalom board. 5.9 should be perfect, but don't hesitate to try it with 6.6 if the wind dips a bit. Ideally you should then put a 34 venom under it - Vinc will no doubt lend you one to try

Haven't been able to really go out since Gruissan; I planed for a couple of minutes (!) on the SL80 before the wind completely died last night. Just like in Gruissan

By the way - your English is fine!

Cheers from Belgium

While chatting with James, I thought this was really good info:

"We Gave away 400 key rings, 4-500 brochures and would say 5-600 people viewed the boards, we sold 9 boards there, ... the general feedback was people were really impressed that we were doing something different to the other brands in more ways than one, design, manufacturing and sales/distribution"

"the images that have been sent don't do the event justice, will send more soon" - James

Thanks, Mike

The event sure was a big success. A lot of interest and enthusiasm. We even saw girls taking off their t-shirts to put on a CA one!
