Hey Bubu,

Don't think there are many of the new Stings out there yet so might be hard to get feedback, I have used the 32 and 34 on the SL55 and SL58 respectively, that was in pretty flat water where I would normally use a 34 and 36 Venom, they were faster in these conditions.

Cheers, James

Hi Guys

I'm down in Almanarre, France for the IFCA Slalom Worlds Y/M. I registered the 75 and the 66, and sailed both yesterday with Sting 42 and 38 respectively (8.4 and 7.6 TR6). I had really good speed with both (though slalom is more than just going fast of course). The Sting is a really good slalom fin: control in high wind, seemingly endless speed potential and enough grunt in the lower range and to plane away from the mark.

The 75 could probably take a 44 in the lower range, and the 66 a 36 in the higher end (say with 7.0 and smaller). That's all I can say for the time being. I did try a 30 under the 55 and liked it, but haven't had enough time to really compare it against others.

We completed 2 races yesterday, and started race 3 today. Unfortunately the wind dropped this afternoon so we haven's sailed the final yet. Will write a report for the website later.

Cheers for now

c

Hi There,

From what I've tried on flat water.
CA 58 = 34 for 7.0/6.3, 32 for 6.0 and down
CA 66 = 40 or even 42 for light winds (7.5/8.2). I heard that 38 was fine with 7.0 and 6.6.

Great fins !
