Alex Halank

We built Alex some boards a while back and ran news story on this talented 9 year old somthought it was time for an update on how's he been doing.

Alex competed in the IFCA Slalom World Championships there last month. There was not much wind unfortunately but they were able to have the minimum racing to award the titles though. They didn't have an under 11s division but Alex competed in the under 13s and came second (he is still 9 years old). It was a very good effort since the 12 year old's were using 5.8 meter sails and Alex's largest is a 4.2m. His Carbon Art is also only 50 liters which was a bit small for the light wind (although all the adults were drooling over it). His trophy says he is the "Under 13s Slalom Vice World Champion"!! Pretty cool!
