Which one to chose?

Hi
I read on the site that slalom 62 is 97 litres and slalom 66 is 109 litres, but on Carbon Art 2010-11 complete specs.pdf the slalom 62 is 101 litres and the slalom 66 is 108 litres. Which one is the correct? I want to purchase a carbon art slalom board close to 100 litres (+- 3 litres), whitch one you suggest me?

Hi kontomous
If you prefer a board that would keep you hapy in wind force from 12 to 25 knts then I would recommend on getting an Sl 62 ,especially if you weigh 83-89 kg .You will not regret it .The new sl62 for 2nd half of 2011 is having the specs of 97 lts -volume and 245 cm -length.
You may ask James if he is still producing the old model of 250 cm and 101 lts .

Hi akisman
I windsurf in paros, flatwater conditions. I had jp australia slalom iv 68 104 litres and was perfect for 12-25 knots but because golden beach has flatwater i could surf until 29 knots. I am searching for a board which can go fast at 16-30 knots. I am 72 kg and 1.80 m height and i am between carbona art slalom 62 and 66. Could you suggest me which one because i have never surf with carbon art?

In Paros -Golden beach there were 3 guys with carbon art boards last summer .
I would recommend the sl 62 ,but I think sl 58 would suit you better due to your weight .
I dont know your location ,but if you are near mine you could test both sl 62 and sl 58 .

I have sailed the SL 62 quite a lot but this year switched to the sl 66 to better complement a sl 58. The SL 66 starts earlier and is superior in light winds. It runs very smooth and controlled and still feels fast and exciting for such a large board. Really sweet board but as soon as I have full pressure in the 7.5 or use <7.0 I miss my SL 62.

I have found the SL 62 to be the perfect all-round slalom board, a board that does it all and always works! If I lived in a windier place I would probably say the same about the SL 58 but in my case the SL 62 has been wonderful. The board is really fast, always in control, so fun and exciting to ride, I love it!

In the end you have to decide which sail size to prioritize. If your main sails are 7.0 or bigger pick the SL 66 but if you mainly use 7.5 or smaller the SL 62 is probably the best choice.
