Hi Steph, we have been working on the updates and will release before the start of 2011, we have stuck with the same approach of subtle but effective refinements, you'll be stoked !!
Cheers, James.

Hi, Guess we have been a bit slow to get this out to say the least !!, the whole range has been refined with the biggest change being new rocker lines and associated bottom shapes, still keeping with the subtle vee though, the new rocker allows a cleaner rider with more clearance under the mast track and with a refined noser rocker trim and gybing are improved.
Pro construction has been optimised to intended usage, and the option of a new clear deck finish on all models, this finish is not actually any lighter but looks cool, just another option allowing that personal touch, basic specs below

Width Vol Weigt Fin
52 84l 5.4 30
55 91l 5.7 32
58 93l 6.1 34
62 97l 6.3 38
66 109l 6.6 42
70 113l 6.9 44
75 119l 7.2 46
80 125l 7.7 48

Thanks James. How will the new carbon look perform in the hot Ausie sun?? I have some bad memories of fried black speed boards

Hi Kato,

It's the same with any dark coloured board, as long as you are aware and take care it's fine, basically try and avoid leaving the board lying in the sun with no breeze to cool it for long periods, I've left mine in exactly these conditions and they have been fine, but don't recommend it though, the goretex vent plug will allow the board to breath.

Hi all,
I had a few days out on my new '11 SL66 and I can tell something.
Visual differences with the '10 board are minimal: just the nose is a tad lower, and the tail a few mm. thicker (I measured 4 mm. taller fin box).
On the water, it changes quite sensibly. The board rides steadier and more free, pitch is minimal. Planing is smooth as always, acceleration quick and easy. The jibe is surprisingly "light" and fast, one has to get used to the faster timing or will be caught with cams not yet flipped and board on the new tack.
Probably the 'old' board is still competitive with accurate trim; but the new one makes everything easier and slightly better.
Too short experience on the SL58 and 75, but both seem to me to have just the same qualities.

Hello
I'd like to get some feedback about the new carbon finish in black/black.
Has someone any pictures to share ?
Is it a problem in case of damage ? Is it difficult to fix in case it happens ?

Other question about the SL2011 : what about the changes concerning the CA80 ?

Cheers
