Your Board
We are sure you will love your new precision designed and built board. Carbon Art has a true passion for producing the best possible board for you to ride. This information is aimed at ensuring you get the ultimate performance and enjoyment possible!
Carbon Art boards are built tough and have the highest strength to weight ratio possible. Like any high performance equipment it deserves a bit of proper care and attention. Here’s a few tips to keep getting the best ride of your life.
-
Footstrap installation:
When fitting your footstraps screw them in tightly. Your board has polymer reinforced plugs that like it tight.
-
Mast base position:
Carbon Art mast tracks are a bit further forward than others. We recommend starting in the middle and raising your boom slightly first. Then slowly adjust to what works best for you.
-
Gore-Tex™ vent plugs:
These are self ventilating allowing the board to breathe. Do not tamper with or try to adjust them in any way!
-
Board bag:
Recommended for protecting from the usual knocks and scrapes when shifting your gear around. Helps keep that smooth and fast finish performing at its peak.
-
Heat:
Carbon Art boards are fitted with Gore-Tex™ vents but no one enjoys being left roasting in the baking summer sun for hours inside a black board bag or in a locked up wagon. So be sure to give your board some respect.
-
Jumping:
Use your legs as suspension, go for a tail or nose first descent, your board and your knees will thank you for not using the flat landing approach every time!
-
Dings:
Unfortunately a board that is immune to dings is about as much fun to sail as a lead filled barge. So even Carbon Art boards can be dinged! Any dings that cause minor damage should be patched up with an epoxy based product before sailing. If however you’ve been attempting aerials over a dry sucking reef, you’re best to get in contact to locate a pro board repairer... if you want a recommendation for who to ask, we suggest that you add a post the the forums, and someone will be sure to know.
