Carbon Art boards are designed to take your windsurfing performance to the highest level.

Our boards feature the highest strength-to-weight ratio on the market, and a leading edge in each of the four key performance criteria:

  • Weight.
The average Carbon Art board weighs less than 6.3kg. We design the boards to have the highest cloth to resin ratio possible (55:45), which results in minimum resin weight with maximum matrix strength.

On average this means that our boards are over 300g lighter than the other boards on the market today. 300g of weight reduction means that the board will plane earlier and gives you more control at speed.

    soda

  • Strength.
The highest level of snap resistance. Carbon Art boards are designed with a full 6mm lap joint between the bottom sandwich and the deck sandwich, in contrast with the butt joint which is the industry norm.

    construction

  • Maneuverability.
Carbon Art boards initiate turns with less effort and continue through the turn where other boards stall. This is because the CAD system used to design the boards can perfectly match the outline, rocker line, bottom shape and rail shape, resulting in cleaner curves. In addition, Carbon Art uses cutting edge technology to ensure construction fidelity.

    flow

  • Cutting edge materials.
Only the very best materials and components are used to make Carbon Art boards. For example, our Slalom board has a 100% carbon deck laminate as standard, and we use Gore-Tex™ vent plugs for all our boards, rather than the manual screw vents that other manufacturers use. The Gore-Tex™ vent plugs save you time and ensure that your board does not suffer from deformation through overheating.

Of course, it's not all about theory - performance testing also forms a critical part of the design process. The wind and waves of Maui and Taranaki, on the west coast of New Zealand , create some of the best testing conditions for windsurfing boards anywhere in the world

Carbon Art's structured on-water testing programme feeds straight back into our design office, where we incorporate the results into our board refinement processes. What we're searching for is a perfectly balanced shape that yields extraordinary results: even 0.1mm makes a difference at this level.

The result of Carbon Art's intensive design and testing processes is that all four of our current models feature the best performance-driven design of any windsurfing board currently on the market.
