performance of Sp 47

Hy all,
I am intrested mostly in the Sp 47 but I am not sure if it is the right size. If you search about this board... you get relativly less info about reached max speeds and experiences. Most used sizes seems to be the 50 and the 44.
I looking for a one board solution for a tall 98kg sailor using mostly 5.6m² up to 7.0m² in sometimes really choppy conditions. Normally the 47 should fit, if it has good control even in the upper end of windrange. Actually I use an old Exocet 50cm wide 68L, but I want to gain some speed potential.

Or can I go directly to the SP44 (seems to be the killer in the range and that is why I struggle with the dicision for the 47), because I use for light wind speeding a 83 L slalom shape which fits.

Some experiences? comments?

Aloha Micha

Hi Micha
Will try to give you some advice...although I have no experience from the SP 47.
I am also tall and 98 kg. I have the SP 53, SP 44 and SP 40 all boards are wonderful.
For the 53 I use a North Warp 8,0 and sometimes, when it's gusty wind also the 7,0.
But as soon as it's good power in the 7,0 I use the SP 44 (also with the 6,3).
The 44 planes very early to be such a small board so I belive you could go directly
to that one.

Good Luck/ Marcus
