Mast track position for SL55 2010

Coming from SL52 2009 to SL55 2010 I tend now to set the mast track position further aft to achieve the same balance and feel.

Are there any design changes in 2010 that would explain/support this or is it just the size change?

Thanks,

Scott.

Hi Scott, think you'll find the main reason is you are using a slightly bigger board, on the 66 I'm running the rig 2 cm back from the center, I presume you are also carrying a larger rig too, how's that 55 going for you anyway?

Thanks James. I'm sailing with the same size, TR4 6.3 - this is a better match for the 55.

I'm really impressed with the new 55 - the feel is similar to last year but there are some differences that I've noticed so far:

- more control. I've found that I'm more comfortable at top speed in chop and now going even faster.

- GPS tells me that average speed is higher and top speeds are easier to reach.

- the teflon style finish is easier to clean and does not get marks from dirt etc.
