What an unusual weird gorgeous look! Congrats Loopy, and nice job James!

Looking at those beauties makes even harder to wait for my ones!

Hi loopy,

did you sail the 66 or 58? How are your impressions?

I finally got to use my new SL58 a replacement for my 3 year old 58. James was great to deal with as usual and got my new board to me in time for the Burrum Windfest as he promised, unfortunately there was no wind so it was a no go for me. Anyway we finally got some wind, it's been a very lean 4 months here, so I headed over to Green Island North Queensland Australia with a few friends and had a ball. The new SL58 is a very nice board, I couldn't be happier with it. Here's a 3 minute video and my GPS track, we sailed 12 kilometres open water from the island to Arlington reef where it's possible to do some awesome long runs.

Finally I received my new boards and was able to test two of them. Yesterday we had a pretty strong Maestrale, varying from fully powered to way overpowered 7.0 weather. I sailed the SL66 and the SL58. The boards are freer and more reactive with better acceleration compared to the '11 ones; feel more skittish, but control is still very very good. I think the SL66 will be great with a 7.6.

Hi Geo,

how is the jibing? It was one of the best things of a ca board!

Do you mean lively when you say skittish? What do you mean?

Cheers
Tim

Jibe is still very nice. Yes, I mean the boards feel extremely lively now and reactions are quicker.
